Spotify announced 195 million subscribers in the third quarter of 2022. He has a total of 468 million active subscribers. 273 million of these subscribers are free subscribers who do not pay for any subscription.

Daniel EK, Spotify’s Chief Executive Officer, who wants to reach 200 million paid subscribers by the end of this year, said that he is closely following his competitors. According to the EK, it is a very good development for Spotify that Apple Music and other music platforms have increased their subscription prices.

Although the experienced executive did not directly say that he would increase subscription fees, he did state that he needed to talk to his business partners about price increases in the music industry.
